Welcome to our Foundation: Friends of Rwanda

The Foundation has been involved with educating young people in Kirinda, a small country town in Rwanda since 1988.  Rwanda is a small country in the middle of Africa. The country suffered from genocide in 1994. Rwanda is now reconstructing and the economic growth is very rapid. Unfortunately, the developments in the country side are lacking behind the development in the big cities, especially education.

 What do we do?
We offer (young) people from Rwanda the following financial aid to help for a better future:

  • Grants to attend secondary school
  • Financial aid for education costs and living expense for University students
  • Financial aid for National Health Insurance
  • Education of toddles (groep 1 and 2), founded by the Foundation
  • Literacy course for adults
  • Vocational education, founded by the Foundation
